Law enforcement officers face unique challenges every day, from maintaining public safety to upholding the law. For those who also seek to live out their faith while on the job, the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers (FCPO) provides a community of support and guidance.
The FCPO was founded in 1974 by a small group of police officers who shared a common faith and a desire to serve both God and their communities. Over the years, the organization has grown to include members from all branches of law enforcement, including local, state, and federal agencies. Today, the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers-USA continues to grow and impact the law enforcement community for Christ, with a membership of over 4,000 officers and over 260 local chapters across the United States. It is led by Paul Lee, who is the Executive Director, and has guided the ministry through an extended period of steady growth.
The FCPO's mission is to "provide biblical support and Christian fellowship to those in law enforcement, and to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who do not know Him." The organization is guided by a set of core values that include integrity, compassion, and servant leadership. These values are reflected in the work that the FCPO does, both within its own community and in the wider law enforcement community.
The FCPO offers a variety of resources and programs to support its members, including Bible studies, prayer groups, and chaplaincy services. The organization also provides training and education on topics such as ethics, stress management, and conflict resolution. By equipping officers with these tools and resources, the FCPO seeks to help them become more effective and compassionate servants of their communities.rs, ICFF and CWVFF, we have been able to see women flourish in their walk with Christ, their families and their careers.
It has had significant impact on the law enforcement community, both in the United States and around the world. By providing a community of support and guidance for Christian law enforcement officers, the organization has helped to strengthen the faith and resilience of its members. This, in turn, has led to improved job performance and a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment among officers.
Beyond its own community, the FCPO has also made a difference in the lives of those it serves. Through its chaplaincy services and other outreach programs, the organization has provided comfort and support to victims of crime and their families. In addition, the FCPO has worked to promote positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve, helping to build trust and understanding between these groups.
